NutSpace Edtech

About The Product/Innovation

NutSpace makes the ‘learning to read’ journey fun, interactive, and highly rewarding for ages 6 – 14 years – and it’s based on solid scientific research. Their focus is to empower the teacher, along with the parent, who plays a major role in delivering the lesson in the classroom.

Their dedicated, methodical and scientifically developed technology enabled reading program aims to not just foster the love for books and reading in a child but also improve his/her grades and overall academic performance. The program aims to uplift the communication skills, English language as well as attention spans of every participant, including the teacher.

The NutSpace App provides video based solutions to enhance classroom practices by providing lesson plans & resources to teachers catering to 2 to 7 year old children. There are videos and courses that help train teachers in synthetic phonics, art of storytelling in the classroom and lecture delivery. The app serves as a ready reference and the teacher can access it anytime and anywhere. They have also extended a part of the app to the parent / child which is in sync with the teacher training program, in order to give similar learning experience to both teacher and parent.

Along with the videos, they also provide initial hand-holding training workshops conducted by professional storytellers, phonics trainers and educators. To monitor the progress of the teacher, they hold regular review meetings, give assignments over the app and hold competitions. Some assignments also include recordings of the classroom / live streaming of the classroom. The app aims to be a curated open platform with a team of teachers, storyteller and educators and aims to impact 50,000 teachers by 2021. They have already trained 438 teachers in the art of classroom storytelling, which has resulted in improved reading and comprehension skills of more than 8400 students in the age group of 4-7 years.
